We were watching the movie Cars. David saw a car and said, “ I’ve been looking for that car for years.” While we are watching things on TV David often says that he wishes he had this or that. I have to tell him that we will keep our eyes out for one at the DI or he can ask Santa for one. He has said he wants so many things that he will never remember all the things he wants. Lately he is really into unusual dinosaurs . I have to tell him that I don’t think they make things like “ Micro Raptors”.
On Saturday, Jon was tilling the garden, and David was playing. I suddenly heard him say, “ Oh my God.” I was so surprised. Then he said it again. I had to explain to him that we don’t say that because it is not respectful to Heavenly Father. He listened very nicely and didn’t say it again that night, but today when he was playing in the other room I heard him say it again. I again corrected him and then told him several other things that were better to say. He also really likes to say, “ That was so FREAKEN COOL!” I’m not sure where he is picking these things up.
David’s new favorite show is Dino train. He has learned all kinds of things about dinosaurs. He told Jon the other day. “Do you know what Micro means? REALLY small.” Then he told Jon all about the Micro Raptor and how it has four wings, one on each leg. He has asked me more than once, “ When can I get a Micro Raptor.”
We watched the movie, Monsters vs Aliens. David thought it was a hoot and laughed a lot. Later on we were in the car and David said, “I don’t have a brain, but I have an IDEA.” Then he laughed. He said the blue, blob, Bob had said it.
David was saying his prayers and he said, “ Help me to get my plane really soon!”
David really pays attention in the car and knows where we are and how to get where we are going. One night Jon was having David give him directions to our house. We were at our turn and were waiting to see if David would say turn here. He said, “ Keep going straight! I want to go on the tree road. Then he proceeded to give us step by step instructions around a few blocks. He took us down his favorite road and then told us how to get to our house. We are often blown away by his intelligence.
David will be singing a solo in church on November 8th. He has learned all of the words to his song. He also has a small speaking part. All I have to do is say, “I came” and he finishes, with all of his part. He has such a good memory and can memorize anything that interests him.
David is a stinker. He can’t stand to see Ryan having fun with a toy. No matter what it is, even if it is an empty toilet paper roll, or scrap of paper, David will yank it away. I don’t know if he loves to hear Ryan Crying or if he just can’t stand to share. On the good side he is fantastic at keeping choking hazards away from Ryan. It’s hard to choke on something if your big brother won’t let you have anything.
RYAN
Ryan is FINALLY starting to show an interest in walking. He has stood on his own for fifteen seconds a couple of times. He will let go and balance now, but still likes to drop down to his knees as soon as he realizes l have let go. I cheer a lot and so he thinks it is fun. I am making him walk with me from room to room. He just holds one finger. He has good balance, he just doesn’t want to let go. I think he wants to do it perfectly before he will even try. I wonder if that will always be his personality.
For awhile I was really scared that there was something wrong with Ryan’s right foot. I could never get his shoe on. The left shoe slid right on, so what was wrong with his other foot. I looked the size of his feet and they appeared to be the same. But every time I went to put his Right shoe on he would twist his foot, and I just couldn’t get it on. When I had Ryan at the Dr’s about the swine flu I had the doctor look at his foot. He said it was perfect and normal, and that Ryan was just messing with me.
Ryan loves the song, “ Mama Mia” He dances to it and if he is crying and I start to sing it he will stop.
Whenever Ryan wakes up, he has a bottle of milk and then immediately after he poops. He is so regular you could win a bet with his bowel movements.
Ryan loves Dog Food. I get mad at him for eating it and take it away, but as soon as my back is turned he is eating it again. I don’t know why he likes it so much, but he does. One day I had to dig four pieces out of his mouth. The smell of it made me so sick to my stomach that I actually threw up.
Ryan has a temper. When he gets mad he hits his head on the floor, or wall, or against me. One day we were in the bath room and he wanted to get in the tub. When he realized he didn’t get to get in the tub he was so mad that he tried to bite the tub, repeatedly. Then he realized that wasn’t working so he walked over to the wall and hit his head over and over again.

David Ism
David had to go to the bathroom. He sat down and was instantly saying that he was done. Jon said,"Did you even go poop." David's spunky reply was
"Didn’t you hear all the plops."
Jabber and Bomber are Davids new imaginary friends. He plays soccer with them. As he is playing he has complete conversations. It is hilarious to listen to him. He says things, like " David go get it." Jabber its your ball, kick it."
David came up to me and said, "I couldn't’t have done it with out you." I asked him what he was talking about and he said, "He couldn't have played soccer with out me."
David: Dad I can kick which feet I want to kick with.
Jon: Your right. Don't listen to me. I don't know what I am talking about.
David: OK!

David Ism
David didn't want to eat his dinner, he kept saying " I don't like the way it smells." then he told me, "Mom you made me sad." ( he didn't like the dinner I made)
I was tired and didn't want to argue about it so I just said.
" I'm sorry." then I was quite for a while.
David then told me
" I'm waiting for you to say, I'm the one who should be sad!"
He knows the way it usually goes. I usually say I'm the one who should be sad, because you wont eat the food I made for you.
We were driving in the car, I was trying to listen to conference and what I heard was, "I don't know what a Jail looks like." I told him I didn't know either. Then he said, " I know it has long neck and a bridge made out of strings." I said, " What are you talking about." David answered " A Jello"
Again I was confused. "Jello doesn't have strings. "
David said, " No mom! Like you used to play! A Jello!!
Then I finally understood what he was talking about. " Do you mean a Cello?"
YES!!!!!
I told David that we were going to Erin Malmborgs ( Earnshaws) Grandparents house to pick up Ann. Then he said, " Do you remember when we went there and watched the fireworks, and I kept eating cookies? You should have called me Cookie Monster."
I got David a donut while he was at pre-school. I told him that I had a treat for him on the way home. When we got home I gave him his donut and he was so excited. He cheered, " My Favorite Thing!!!!! What is it?"

There was a lady at Jcpennys that was pushing her son in a wheel chair. I asked David to run and push the button to the door so it would open for her. He never asked why, he just ran as fast as he could and opened the door. I told him how proud I was of him and how I was sure Heavenly Father was proud of him too. He asked why and I told him that when you help other people to are also helping Jesus. It made him happy and now he is running to help us when ever we ask him to do something. He is such a good boy.
Davids favorite story from the Book of Mormon, is Alma and Almulek. My mother- in -law gave David a child's Book of Mormon flip book. He loves to see Alma and Almulek tied up and then flip the page and they are free, but he especially loves to see the guards sitting on a bench and the next page they are squished by the walls of the prison. He laughs and laughs.
Ryan likes to eat, but he likes to feed our dog Nikki more. He will drop his food down to her every time. She loves to sit by his feet and clean up the mess. One day I took her to get her hair cut and I really missed her cleaning services.

David and Ryan
I was making the bed, I tucked in the bottom and David cheered. " Good Job Mom!"
I must compliment him a lot.
I heard Ryan crying in the bathroom. I went to investigate and found that Ryan had his hand in the toilet and it was being squished. I pulled his wet hands out of the toilet and then had to scrub his hands and change his clothes. So now I can't just put the toilet lid down, have to close all the doors to the bathroom too.
Ryan loves the sound track to Mama Mia. He likes to sit on my lap, on David's bed and listen. It is the only time he will sit still and cuddle, so I put on a song everyday and just hold him for awhile. It is good cuddle time.
Ryan chews on his crib. He has left teeth marks on every rail that is not covered in a plastic guard. He has chipped the paint off and left very deep marks.
Ryan Jumps in his crib. He thinks it is the funnest thing ever.
I heard Ryan crying and I went to see why. David was biting his shirt and was dragging him down the hall. He said he was " A big bad wolf" I had to remind him that in the book Where the Wild things are, when Max was making mischief his mom put him in his room. He stopped immediately.

David Ism
Jon asked David if he would like to go and hit some golf balls. David told Jon that he wanted to go but that he didn't want me to go because he didn't like how I swung the club. Then he came to me and told me the same thing, " I just don't like how you swing your club, your not very good."
